Boost Project – Hull
A Grant Award of £1,500 was made to the Sutton upon Hull based project on 3 September 2009 by the Chairman, Hugh Bethell. The Boost project is a structured programme linked to sports leadership awards and learning for young people who are at risk of committing offences or being excluded from school. The award by the Tribune Trust has allowed for the purchase and renovation of a mobile classroom unit on the sports field of the premises. Referrals to the project will be made by schools, youth offender teams and other agencies. It will be closely monitored by the Trust for effectiveness and links to other funded projects within the voluntary and statutory sector.

Corner House, Hull, Education Programme.
A Grant Award of £2,000 has been awarded to Corner House, Hull. Corner House is a well established charity originally formed to combat Aids and HIV but has progressed to wider support programmes. A new project has been established within the charity to support vulnerable young people from difficult backgrounds at risk of sexual exploitation, prostitution and trafficking. Ashwell Pupil Referral Unit.
A grant award of £1,500 has been made to the Ashwell Pupil Referral Unit, Hull. The Unit was formed with others some years ago as part of a national programme to support young people who had been excluded permanently from school or with other social problems. The Tribune has previously helped with financial assistance with an equine and learning project and has good links with the unit.

Victim Support, Scunthorpe
The Trust has supported Victim Support, Humber in previous years. A Grant Award of £2,000 was made to the Scunthorpe Branch of Victim Support following a meeting of the trustees on 14 October 2009. The charity has been re-structured to reduce costs and is always in need of support to assist the most vulnerable victims of crime. The Grant Award will go towards that fund in North Lincolnshire.

Lifestyle Rock Challenge, Humberside Police.
Rock Challenge is an annual competition run by Humberside Police for primary and secondary schools throughout the region to compete in music, mime and dance events in spectacular presentations at prestigious venues in Hull, East Riding of Yorkshire, North and North East Lincolnshire. The planning, rehearsals and full productions must be free from artificial stimulants including alcohol, tobacco and drugs.

Park Primary School, Hull. Garden Project.
A Grant Award of £1,000 has been made to the Park Primary School, Orchard Park Estate, Hull. It will fund the development of a garden in the quadrangle at the centre of the school linked to learning, healthy living and aspects of the curriculum. As in other projects recently funded these projects will be linked to other schools, community farms and the Royal Horticultural Society with an event in 2010.

George Ashton Centre
A Grant Award of £400 has been made to the George Ashton Community Centre for elderly residents on the Orchard Park Estate, Hull. Following problems with crime and disorder their was a fear of crime which was preventing some vulnerable residents from attending. As part of a package of measures supported by the City Council and members of the Neighbourhood Policing the problem was tackled.
