The Green Project, Great Hatfield

A Grant Award of £2,000 was made to the Green Project, Great Hatfield, East Riding of Yorkshire on 3 September 2009 by the High Sheriff of the East Riding Mr Patrick Farnsworth and the Chairman Hugh Bethell. The community farm has been established by the owner Mr Denys Fell for learning about agriculture by young people, recovering drug users in treatment and others with special needs.

Plans are being developed to install a classroom block on the farm thus widening the opportunities to schools and young people.

The project will be included in a plan to coordinate programmes of this nature throughout the region.
