Bridlington Sports College

 

A Grant Award of £2,500 has been made by the Trust to the Bridlington School Sports College to develop a horticultural site in the grounds of the College. The area of land will be worked by children and students of the school kinked to the Science Curriculum but also with the 2012 London Olympics theme with plants represented the colours of competing nations. A sensory garden is also planned.

The award was presented to the Head Teach Sarah Ashley by the High Sheriff of the East Riding and the Chairman Hugh Bethell on 21 September 2009.

The project will be linked through the rust to other similar projects in schools, community farms, Farms For City Children National Programme and Royal Horticultural Society.
